  • Planet CenSE – IRM was a partner in PlanetCenSE  project under the INTERREG IIIB programme, 2004-2006, Network of spatial planning institutions and experts to foster spatial integration and cross-sectoral dialogue along the four tracks; http://www.planet-cense.net
  • TRANSFOR(U)M Socio-ecological Cooperation Network on Regional Transition Processes in Europe. TRANSFOR(U)M represents a central forum on regional transition and transformation processes. The network aims to connect European research institutions examining problems and challenges related to simultaneous growth and shrinking processes. Presently, the network consists of partner insitutes from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. http://www.transforum-network.eu  http://www.sfz.de
  • InterMETREX - IRM was a partner in InterMETREX project under the INTERREG IIIC programme, 2003-2006, concerning the effectiveness of metropolitan governance and spatial planning and development; http://www.eurometrex.org
  • Institute of Urban Development  participated  in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme - Community Vocational Training Action Programme, Second Phase: 2000-2006 – Mobility. The main partner was Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research, Oslo (NIBR), 2006
  • COOP II - IRM was a partner in COOP II project “„Integrated client oriented forms of co-operation in housing stock policy: housing provision for risk groups on urban housing markets” , 2003-2005; http://www.srz-gmbh.com
  • SURE – IRM was a partner in SURE project under the Fifth Framework EU Programme, 2003-2005, concerning urban regeneration problems in a time-space perspective, which means not using only the traditional economic and spatial indicators, but trying to enrich the analysis with the time related aspects; http://www.sure-project.com
  • ReURBAN – IRM was a partner in Re-Urban project under the Fifth Framework EU Programme, 2002-2005, concerning re-urbanisation potentials and obstacles of inner-city residential areas, instruments, incentives and strategies for an appropriate and long-term use of these areas taking into consideration changing demographic preconditions;  http://www.re-urban.com
  • SUREURONET - IRM was a coordinator in - SUREURONET Project under the Fifth Framework Programme of the EU - 2003 (as part of the SUREURO Programme), concerning the sustainable development of housing in Central Europe;
  • FOCUS – IRM was a partner in FOCUS project under the INTERREG II B programme,. 2000-2002, concerning the future of industrial cities and regions undergoing structural changes;
  • LGAP (Local Government Assistant Program) - IRM was a partner in  a Local Government Assistance Programme, funded in 1993-2000 by British Know-How Fund, in Local Government Partnership Program funded by USAID and in Phare Fund projects  concerning:
    - national training programme “land Management in Municipalities”
    - pilot projects on spatial planning, land management, urban renewal, regional strategic planning, regional spatial development
    - housing strategies
